South Dakota Native Homeownership Coalition Pre-Conference Planning Session

October 29, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

The South Dakota Native Homeownership Coalition will hold our annual one-day planning session on October 29th, one day prior to the South Dakota Housing Development Authority’s Annual Housing Conference.

Breakfast and registration will begin at 8:00am, and the program will begin at 9:00am.

This year, our annual planning session will provide the opportunity for Coalition members to learn about and discuss the:

  • Tribal Leaders Handbook on Homeownership
  • Coalition’s membership drive
  • Construction internship program
  • 502 re-lending pilot program
  • Coalition’s strategic directions
  • Coalition’s impacts
  • Latest housing needs assessments
  • “Native Homeownership is Possible” campaign

During the session, Coalition stakeholders will also have an opportunity to participate in committee breakout sessions to plan activities for the coming year, as well as small group discussions on strategic directions.

Travel Assistance

The South Dakota Native Homeownership Coalition has limited funds available to provide travel assistance to help offset the costs of mileage and lodging incurred by staff of Coalition member organizations that attend this event.

Priority for travel assistance will be given to current Coalition members and organizations that are current on data reporting. If you haven’t become a member yet, you can fill out the online application here: www.sdnativehomeownershipcoalition.org/joinus.  If you have questions about data collection efforts, please contact us.
